This event will take place on the 20th of November from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The meetup will be held at The Mixing Room located inside the JW Marriot L.A. Live (900 W Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90015, US) and is hosted by Bobby Jones.

This year, when signing up to attend this meetup and other VC4Africa Global Entrepreneurship Week Meetups, you have the opportunity to contribute to a crowdfunding campaign for African innovation: we are collecting money in the 'African Startup Fund' for promising entrepreneurs on the VC4Africa platform who are ready to pilot test their innovation and need just a small push to get their innovation into the market.
How to participate in the crowdfunding campaign as a meetup attendee:
When registering your meetup ticket(s) on this page you can choose 'Grab a Free Ticket', and also have the option to select "Contribute to Startup Fund', and fill in an amount. No fees will go to VC4Africa, only the Eventbrite ticket service charges a small fee. Everyone who makes a donation will be listed as the Angel Investors on the African Startup Fund!
How to participate in the crowdfunding competition as an entrepreneur:
If you’re an African entrepreneur ready to pilot test your innovation, be sure to submit your idea and apply! Applications are being collected on https://vc4africa.biz/gew2014/african-startup-fund/apply/ and a high level independent selection committee, including investors, will select the most promising application(s) and decide how the money will be allocated. The winner will be announced the week of November 20th. This is the chance to prove your potential and get new partners on board!
