David Buttress, Just Eat

David is CEO of Just Eat, the leading online delivery service in the takeaway (to-go) food market. Just Eat floated on London Stock Exchange in Apr 2014, valued nearly $2.5 billion. It is the largest technology float on LSE in the last 8 years.

Founded in Denmark in 2001, the original concept was developed by two separate groups in Denmark simultaneously. The two groups merged, adopting one group's ordering process and maintaining Just Eat's brand. In 2006 Just Eat moved their headquarters to London.

Fast forward just seven short years and they have an established, truly international, market-leading brand, activities on four continents, more than 36,000 global restaurant partners and nearly 6 million active users with an insatiable appetite for takeaway

David started his career with Coca-Cola Enterprises, where he had a variety of senior sales roles before moving into the internet world with JUST EAT. He won the prestigious Account Manager of the Year award when he was managing the key national restaurant customers in the UK for Coca-Cola.
