The Welcoming Environment Institutes are a compliant use of Tittle I funds, allocated for professional development and parental involvement, and other state and federal funds reserved for school improvement and/or parental involvement.
Welcoming Environment Institute
This four hour Institute will focus on helping school district and organizational staff learn about research based strategies and best practices that engages staff in authentic and meaningful ways to:
* Become familiar with foundational parent engagement research and best practices
* Increase their confidence in their ability to assess and strengthen their site's welcoming environment
* Explore strategies and practices for enhancing and supporting a welcoming environment at their site
In addition, participants will receive ready-to-use tools and materials that will help create a plan that aligns with a schools' welcoming environment goals.
