The aim of the 2 day Research Symposium is to celebrate research which is being undertaken within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. They will showcase the work being undertaken by research students and early career researchers within the faculty and will provide an ideal forum for all researchers in the field of science and engineering to meet and exchange ideas in emerging areas of research. 

Please note that if you wish to attend both days, you will need to register for each day.

Day 1 -  Thursday the 3rd of July will  focus on Early Career Researchers

Day 2 -   Friday the 4th of July will focus on  Research Students.

Objectives of this event are to:

• Provide research students with the opportunity to have their work peer-reviewed and to present and publish their research.
• Provide MPhil/ PhD students with the opportunity to learn the process of organizing and running a conference.
• Consider the role of research students in REF 2014 and within Research and Knowledge at MMU
•  Encourage interdisciplinary research within MMU by both building and strengthening connections between computer science, chemistry, informatics, biology, engineering, mathematics, biomedical sciences, environmental and geographical science
