This Masterclass is ideal for companies with no, or limited, experience of external fund-raising. It will help delegates understand the advantages and disadvantages of alternative sources of external finance and will underpin bespoke Access to Finance coaching.

Typical themes covered will be:

• Funding basics
• The UK funding landscape
• Sources of finance (detailed overview on types of debt, grants and equity finance)
• The mind-set of finance providers
• Creating an attractive funding proposition
• Basics of pitching

This is a one day interactive Masterclass with benefits including peer-to-peer learning (up to 15 delegates) and interaction with Access to Finance specialists who have expertise at senior level.

Delegates will have access to information such as a guide on funding, other knowledge sources and copies of presentations. Please note delegates may be asked to give a short verbal business summary/elevator pitch(s) during the day.

After attending this Masterclass delegates will gain increased expertise and support for interaction with their Access to Finance coach, understand different types of finance for business, the risk profiles of different funders and be able to select the most appropriate forms of finance.
