Real Circumstance Fundraising Lab (London)
Saturday 5 July, 10:00 AM 2014 to 6:00 PM 2014
Studio 24-25, Royal Victoria Patriotic Building, London, , SW18 3SX (View Map)

Intensive Fundraising Lab featuring talks, practical sessions, and one-on-one tutoring.

The Real Circumstance Fundraising Lab takes a comprehensive approach to developing your fundraising skills, within an encouraging and informal environment.

The Lab is delivered by Anna Bewick, Co-Founder and Creative Producer of Real Circumstance and a Strategic Consultant. She has a proven fundraising track record, having raised over £140,000 in the past five years for small arts organisations from Arts Council England (including seven consecutive successful applications for Real Circumstance), charitable foundations, local and regional councils, co-producers, and private donors.

Tailored to your projects and requirements, whether you are an individual artist or a theatre company, the Lab covers:

  • Fundraising Strategies: the different types of funding avenues available for your professional development and your creative projects, and how to find and approach funders.
  • Project Planning & Budgeting: how to plan a detailed and accurate project timeline, and write a thorough, realistic and appropriate budget.
  • Proposal writing: practical sessions & one-on-one tutoring on how to write strong, tailored funding proposals to grant-making organisations, funding letters to individuals, and crowd-funding pitches.

“I learnt so much in such a short time – and came away feeling energised, stimulated and inspired!” - Previous Lab Participant

Capacity is limited to 20 places to ensure that each project gets enough attention, so book soon to avoid disappointment.

The Lab costs £50 (plus booking fee, sorry) and includes digital resources for your future use and lunch on the day. Once you have booked, you will receive a 25% discount code for a future lab (click here to see the full 2014 Lab series), and a short questionnaire asking for more details about your project.

Tickets are non-refundable.

“I cannot recommend this Lab more highly, if only everyone from a theatre company could do it. Concise, cheerful, professional, packed full of specific information on funding. Totally inspiring and helpful.” - Previous Lab Participant
